Professionals at one of Hull’s leading independent accountancy firms have raised hundreds with a charity casino night.
Members of the team at Smailes Goldie Group, which has offices in Hull and Barton, held the charity casino night on Friday 20 October, raising a total of £370 in the process.
The proceeds will go to the charity chosen by Jonny Finn and Rachel Edge – the two biggest winners on the night – Cardiac Risk in the Young.
Mark Sharpley, a Partner at Smailes Goldie Group, said: “It was great to be able to raise such a good sum for a very deserving cause in Cardiac Risk in the Young.”
“Here at Smailes Goldie Group, we are always keen to make a difference where we can and I am delighted that we have been able to raise so much money for charity with our casino night.”
The firm’s most recent fundraising endeavour follows hot on the heels of its charity golf day earlier in October, at which it raised a total of £3,000 for Hull-based youth education charity, Prison Me No Way.
