Hull 10KProfessionals at a Hull-based accountancy and business advice firm have run their way to over £600 for a prominent local children’s and young peoples’ charity.

A team of 11 from Smailes Goldie Group, which has offices in Hull and Barton, took on the Hull 10K and Hull Half Marathon on Sunday 10 June 2018 to raise funds for Child Dynamix.

Rachael Jobling, Andrew Robinson, Stephen Harrison, Peter Webster and Henry Haith were joined by Max Hinson, Marcus Webb, Fiona Johnson, Bobby Pye and Richard Wood in taking on the Jane Tomlinson Hull 10K.

Meanwhile, Alex Berridge took on the Hull Half Marathon, completing the course in 1:56:17.

Marcus Webb was the fastest of the firm’s 10K runners, crossing the line in 43:53, closely followed by Stephen Harrison, who recorded a personal best time of 44:22.

The team has raised £641.50 to date for Child Dynamix, however the donations are still increasing. Child Dynamix works with children and young people growing up in difficult circumstances in Hull.

Nicki Shipley, a Partner at Smailes Goldie Group, said: “The whole team should be proud of their efforts on what was an especially hot day.

“They have exceeded their original fundraising total of £500 for a very deserving cause.

“The funds raised will make a real difference to the lives of local youngsters.”
